"WHAT is going on??"
My dad stares at me in mock horror as I claw at my cheeks in rabid excitement. What is going on? WHAT IS GOING ON??
I'm going to Italy in a week, that's what's going on.
I just received my apartment move-in info from MIL service. Jacquelyn and I will be moving into our adorable Osculati appartamento on Monday, January 31st at 11am with our mysterious "other" roommate who, according to my new information, is named Caitlin.
I am boiling over with excitement.
Bubble bubble.
With a name like Zingarelli (meaning Little Gypsy in Italian), I feel the need to live up to my name, traverse the world, and find adventures. Not necessarily in that order. Join me as I travel to Milan, Italy to study International Relations and, um, FOOD. Excursions all around Europe will ensue...as will wild, wonderful times.

Missing Chapman. (9 days before departure)

It's ironic that I finally fall in love with Chapman the semester before I ditch it for 5 months in Europe. I am so excited for my European adventure but I can't help thinking about how much I'll miss Chapman.
First and foremost I'm going to miss my roommates.
Kerianne Kubota will always make my heart sing (see "undersea creature" photo) and I already miss her terribly. Two and a half years of living together...and now we won't even be with each other to celebrate our 21st birthdays!
I get to visit Florencia in Florence (I'm never going to get sick of saying that!) whenever I want while I'm in Italy. And believe you me, I will be hopping on that train as much as possible! I love Florence. Oh, and Florencia :)
Becky boo bear entered and exited my life so quickly I almost don't remember the buzz of the fan next to her bed, or the smell of her delicious cooking, or the pain in my neck after that fateful first evening out together. Almost.
I'm going to miss my Improv team. I'm going to miss Jacob Taylor (a lot). I'm going to miss Dan Duran. I'm going to miss the film school and the sunny, warm weather (I'm not going to miss the lack of air conditioning in our house). I'm going to miss random Chapman parties and random people and William Fong and crew. I'm going to miss the Jewish household I basically lived in last semester and their yummy brownies and FIFA obsessions.
I won't be back to Orange for another 8 months. Chapman, please don't forget me!
Love,
me
